Description
This 1969 C and C Reding 30 Sloop Is Described As:
The Redwing 30 is an early C&C design that is very pleasing to the traditional eye and has the performance of the C&C name behind it. The Redwing 30 is one of the vessels selected by Richard Henderson in his book - Choice Yacht Designs. AYRBORN has been extensively restored and is a well-found coastal cruiser/racing sloop.
Her layout is traditional and her interior has abundant teak bulkheads and trim. Forward there is a private V-berth that sleeps two and features a privacy door and side shelving. Just aft is a private head that uses a holding tank with dockside pumpout and also features a sink with vanity. Her galley is to starboard and features a top-loading icebox, alcohol stove, stainless sink with manual water system and ample storage above and below her counters. Her fore and aft facing dinette is to port and converts to an extra berth. Aft is a quarter berth that sleeps one, bringing her total accommodations to five. Outside her large cockpit is uncluttered and provides great access to the foredeck. She is powered by a Universal 30 hp Atomic-4 Inboard that has been very well cared for and constantly upgraded.
In the last ten years, AYRBORN has undergone an extremely impressive amount of upgrades and improvements that keeps her in a nearly showroom condition. The following are but a few examples –
- Decks were redone
- Hull below the waterline was barrier-coated
- Rudder was rebuilt
- New canvas
- New batteries
- Newer standing and running rigging
- Newer and/or reconditioned sails
- Self-tailing Harken winches
- And much, much more.
AYRBORN’s current owners have continued to keep her in near-Bristol condition and she will make a wonderful weekend retreat or lake racer/cruiser for her new family.
