Description
This 1979 C and C 36 Sloop Is Described As:
If you are looking for an exceptional 36-foot boat with a good pedigree, look no farther. AKU TIKI has to be seen to be appreciated. She is a beautifully maintained and constantly upgraded C&C 36. Canadian built, AKU TIKI is a prime example of the heritage and performance that C&C Yachts is so well known for. Upwind she is well-balanced and can mostly sail herself. Her beautiful racing lines do not neglect her accommodations. The cabin area of the 36 was broadened to provide a bright and spacious interior with sleeping for 7. Her galley boasts a 3-burner propane stove and oven in her U-shaped galley. She has a full-sized navigation table and a large and comfortable dinette that is suitable for numerous dinner guests. Her V-berth is readily accessible, roomy and airy and her double quarterberth will sleep two guests.
Her sails were replaced in 2005 and checked by a local sail loft last year. For added speed, she runs with a 2-blade feathering Max-Prop. All of the hoses on the boat, including the exhaust hoses, have recently been replaced. The fuel tank was taken out, cleaned professionally and pressure tested by a local firm just a few years ago. The injectors in the engine have also been replaced with new ones. She has not been competitively raced and shows no sign of stress or abuse anywhere. In fact, over the last few years, she has only been used about four or five times a year for day sailing.
Her crisp lines, immaculate exterior and very clean interior are an absolute pleasure to see. AKU TIKI is in outstanding condition, extremely seaworthy and ready to take her new owners anywhere they choose to voyage.
