This Bayfield 32 is one of the innovative 'C' designs, a cutter rig with a longer bow sprit and taller mast to accomodate a larger sail area, allowing this design to be faster than other Bayfield 32's. She is an extremely well built boat with a capacity for distant blue water cruising. They have been tested in many off-shore trials including the Single-Handed Trans-Atlantic race. She displays an antique-wood spiked wheel, and with her full keel, shoal draft of 3' 9" and Yanmar 3GM30 diesel new in 1990, this vessel would make a great, comfortable cruiser in just about any body of water. She is a Blue Book Registered. Equipped with both headsails furled and a DRS, she has the capacity to do any weather sailing. Her sails were replaced in 1997, and the upholstery and cockpit cushions are new.
