This style of Van de stadt design was likely the most popular of all. This boat is a pedigree design from the board of the Van de Stadt design office and is a proper yacht in the seagoing / traditional sense. It is stable, does not rock or tip at the first opportunity and gives a sense of confidence in a seaway.
She was built in Kitchener, Ontario of 1/8" steel plates. She was repowered in 1999 with a 20 hp Yanmar diesel. She is a sloop rig with an inner forestay that allows it to be used as a cutter. She has 3 working sails - a main (2002), a jib on roller furling, and an inner foresail. She has plenty of canvas (dodger, bimini and lee-cloths) to keep you dry and warm or shaded and cool...depending on the weather.
