1978 Marine Trader Tri Cabin Additional Details:
This beautiful and spacious Tri-Cabin is a pleasure to look at and a joy to show. She is a rare three-stateroom, galley-up design that has already had her 'mid-life' refit. Typical of a trawler layout, she is loaded with ample storage and hanging lockers. She sleeps 7 and has large, safe walk-around decks and a spacious sundeck. Bought in 1996 by the current owners, they have had this vessel professionally refitted inside and out. The teak decks were removed. The main cabin superstructure was new from belowdecks and up in 1997. The aft cockpit deck was replaced in 1997. The superstructure was re-awlgripped in 1997. An oversized Vetus bow thruster was installed. The typical Marine Trader decorative wood trim was removed for easier on-going maintenance and the remaining wood trim was either refinished or awlgripped. On the inside, both showers were redone and bathtubs were re-surfaced and awlgripped in 2001. The galley had a larger sink installed, new countertops were installed in 1998 and a custom mahogany dining table was new in 2006. The upholstery was new in 2006, the mattresses were new in 2005, and the salon parquet flooring has been refinished. There has been new canvas installed for the flybridge. There was a new aluminum mast in 1997, a new Lofrans electric windlass was installed in 2006, a new Magma BBQ in 2005, new oversized fenders in 2005, and a new holding tank installed in 1997. The hull was refinished in 2005. The list of work that has been done on this gem goes on and on. If you are looking for a very comfortable live-a-board, a summer cottage or retreat, or are thinking about heading south, then this Tri-Cabin Trawler would easily suit your needs. The owners are taking a sabbatical from boating and will be leaving her virtually turn-key for live-aboard use.
