This 1984 Mainship Mark III Is Described As:
Clifts Marine Sales Kingston
This has to be one of the few Mainship 34's that has never seen saltwater. The Mainship 34 was designed for fuel-efficient cruising. She rides on a solid fibreglass hull with rounded bilges and a long keel for directional stability. She is powered by a single 200 hp Perkins diesel with only 2200 hours of use. She is capable of cruising at 7 knots at 1.35 GPH, or 12 knots at 5.4 GPH.
In the interior, the forward cabin has a large v-berth and filler cushion (new foam and upholstery 2007), two hanging lockers and shelves outboard. More storage is built in below the berth with shelves and large compartments. The galley floor has been custom-made from kempas (Koompassia malaccensis) hardwood. Galley is to port with considerable storage built in. There is a Wedgewood two burner propane cooktop, S/S sink with pressure H/C water, and Norcold fridge/freezer. The enclosed head compartment is to starboard and features a separate stall shower, sink and vanity and SeaLand self-contained marine toilet with 8 gal holding tank (25 gal main tank under v berth).
The main salon is up three steps. Here you'll find an open and airy layout with a breakfast bar/ nav/table and two substantial lockers under. The entire starboard side of the main saloon has built in storage lockers. On the port side is a sofa that folds into a double sleeping berth.
The plumbing, propane, fuel delivery and electrical systems have been upgraded. There are dual Racor filters with a control manifold, a macerator pump for sewage transfer, major re-wiring and air tanks and filters added to both the fresh and seawater systems. All stanchions and hardware have been re-bedded. Anti-skid areas on deck were re-finished with gelcoat.
On the flybridge, there is custom seating with a dual helm seat and an L-shaped lounge seat. There is a full Sunbrella enclosure, with new windows, including a shade for the aft cockpit. Any couple who is looking for a fuel-efficient, go-anywhere cruiser will find this vessel hard to resist.
