This truly amazing Limited Edition of the elite Beneteau 411 is as turn-key as it gets. She really is a floating condo that will ease the transition from land-dwelling to extensive "go-anywhere" cruising in style and decadent comfort
From the production floor on, the owner has been involved in detailing and upgrading her, continuing to add systems that have made this vessel very comfortable and possibly the best appointed cruising ship out there. The vessel was equipped for extended cruising, but family commitments took precedence.
Starting in the fully enclosed air-conditioned cockpit with courtesy 12V lighting, there is a transom shower with both hot and cold water. The boarding ladder has been re-designed to fold closer to the transom, there was a pressurized water hook-up added in the port cockpit locker, the helm pedestal has been reinforced and a larger drop-leaf table was added. Down the center of the cockpit table, both a storage and a trash compartment were built-in. There are two stern rail seats, complete with drink holders. The instruments are on a stainless arch over the helm, and under tinted Plexiglas for easy reading even with the glare from the sun. The owner had a stainless steel arch designed that has an arm atop with a swivel bracket to hold the radar dome, the arms of the arch were contoured to snuggly hold a dinghy with adjustable brackets to fit most dinghies, and a bracket on each side was incorporated that will hold an outboard engine to starboard and a BBQ to port. This arch also has brackets for a man overboard pole and a life ring. All lines lead to the cockpit through 2 sets of 6 spinlocks. There are four over-sized self-tailing winches installed, with the mainsail halyard controlled by an electric self-tailer. The full batten mainsail sliders were upgraded to a Harken BattCar system. A 56hp Yanmar diesel was installed to replace the standard 42hp Westerbeke. A Mase Genset 5.7kw generator was installed aft.
On deck, there is a stainless life raft rack with a fitted cushion for those relaxing days on the water. The masthead light was upgraded to include a strobe light for safety. A Stainless steel plate was added to the bow to protect the Midnight Blue gelcoat from the two anchors positioned in the dual anchor holder.
There is a motion sensor at the top of the companionway that turns on the courtesy lighting down the stairs, and individual heat and cooling controls for the salon, forward and aft berths, and the cockpit. The Nav station holds gauges for all onboard tanks, and larger access holes were added to the onboard tanks that would require inspection and periodic cleaning. The upholstery had a Duratouch Cushion upgrade, and the master bed mattress was upgraded for comfort. Indirect lighting in the salon was part of the Limited package.
