The 2859 Bayliner Express has a deep, wide hull with lots of room for a vessel her length. She is a clean, conservatively styled hardtop cruiser with a practical layout that made her a popular model during her production years. The layout of this boat is similar to many previous hardtop sedan models with the helm and sofa on the bridgedeck and the dinette and galley on the lower level. What sets the 2859 apart from the norm is her midship berth (located beneath the bridedeck), an arrangement that brings the total sleeping capacity to six. A privacy curtain seperates the forward berth from the salon, and there's a handheld shower in the head compartment. Additional features include a well-equipped galley with plenty of storage, carpetting in the main cabin was replaced with high grade wood (carpetting was left on the companionway and under dinette), a swim platform and boarding ladder, and a transom door.
