1976 Camper Nicholson Ketch 39 Additional Details:
This vessel is a splendid and proven example of a popular model from this world renown builder. With a significant refit in the late 1990's and many upgrades since then, she represents a rare opportunity to own a substantial and truly high quality cruising yacht at a modest price!
Those who are not acquainted with Camper & Nicholsons, are encouraged to familiarize themselves with their longstanding (since 1782!) reputation for stellar quality. Throughout the globe, they are perceived as being in the same category as Hinckley's.
Imported from England in 1977, this Camper Nicholson 39 foot ketch was kept first in Georgian Bay and then the Bay of Quinte and used for summer cruising on Lake Huron and Lake Ontario. She was bought by the present owners in 1997 who overhauled the boated and fitted it out for offshore cruising. After 3 winters cruising in the Bahamas and storing the boat during the summers she was brought back to Ontario and is used for summer sailing in the Bay of Quinte area.
She includes an Air Marine wind generator, Kyocera 85-watt solar panel, new bimini and dodger in 2007, new interior upholstery in 2007, Simpson Lawrence davits and windlass, a custom bowsprit/anchor holder, a 9-foot Dyer Dhow sailing dinghy with 2 hp Honda outboard, a Dunlop Beaufort Life raft, JRC radar, autopilot, a new engine in 1995, and much, much more.
She is a well-found, comfortable and handy all-weather cruising sailboat. She is well maintained and comes with numerous spare parts.
