The classic layout of the Sedan Flying Bridge cruiser consists of a large deckhouse/salon with sleeping accomodations forward at a lower level. The salon is on the same level as the aft cockpit with a bulkhead and doorway in between. The engines are under the salon and the helm station is on a bridge placed atop the salon. There is a newer variation that raises the salon a few feet higher and tucks a second stateroom under the salon. The engines are moved aft under the cockpit.
