This is a large powerboat with a separate enclosed area for steering and navigating the boat. The pilothouse is sometimes referred to as the "bridge" or "lower helm station". The pilothouse is generally placed on the maindeck, "flush" (on the same level) with the main salon. If the pilothouse is raised two (2) to three (3) feet higher than the maindeck and salon, it is called a "raised pilothouse yacht".
